Strategy: Break up the amount of water that you have to drink throughout the day. Attempt to drink 64 oz. of water before lunch time. That is the equivalent of 4 - 16 oz water bottles. Drink the other half before going to sleep.
I created a simple cheat sheet to help you stay on track. You can download it from the free tools section of 300 PFT.
Next, I want you to show your body what it feels like to be properly hydrated. You're going to be amazed by the feedback your body is going to give you. Staying properly hydrated is very important, especially for athletes.
Our bodies are made up of mostly water, and staying hydrated improves our bodily functions. Most importantly it keeps you alive. Staying hydrated allows your body to perform all it's functions at an optimal level. This includes your metabolism and getting rid of toxic waste.
When it comes to fitness, keeping your body hydrated helps you lose weight FAST! In very simple terms here is how it works. When you body doesn't get enough water it will retain it and store it. It's in survival mode and it's not flushing out toxic substances. Once you start giving it enough water it will begin to flush itself, losing all the water weight that it has been storing all along.
Here are a few additional tips for using water to destroy fat:
- Drink ice cold water to boost your metabolism. The water has to be a certain temperature in order for your body to metabolize it. The process of warming up the ice cold water in your belly will use more energy. Try doing this right when you wake up to jump start your metabolism bright, and early in the day.
- Freeze water into ice, and create ice packs to use on yourself while you're watching TV. Place the ice backs on your back, shoulders, and chest. This will cool down your core temperature. Your body will attempt to keep you warm, and this reaction uses energy. Roy Cronise, a former NASA scientist used this technique to increase his fat burning capabilities. It's the reason why Micheal Phelps can eat 12,000 calories a day and not get fat. His body has to stay warm while he's in the swimming pool. If you know your military history, you'll also know that the military has researched this bodily reaction as well. Marines had issues keeping on body weight in cold climates.

Warning: Do not drink large amounts of water in one sitting, this can result in a condition know as hyponatremia, and can be deadly. Consume water evenly throughout the day.
One last thing, there is no substitute for water. Feel free to add a slice of fruit in your glass for flavor.
