I decided to employ an old trick I learned during boot camp. If you stuff you face very fast you can eat a lot more before your brain realizes that it's full. I finished my meal, but I felt like I was going to explode.
I ate dinner a lot later than usual because I wasn't feeling hungry until late in the evening. I finished strong and ended up consuming 223g of carbohydrates, and 246g of protein. Moving forward I'm going to try to eat more carbohydrates .
My workout went very well. I was a little surprised at how strong I was after resting for a full week. My routine consisted of two exercises. I performed the lat pull-down with 150lbs x 11 reps using a 5/5 cadence. I thought my arms were going to fall off on the final rep. Afterwards I performed the military press with 70lbs x 9 using a 5/5 cadence. I could have maybe done one more, but my left arm died before my right and I had to stop. My next workout is scheduled for Sunday.
I started this challenge yesterday morning, and I already gained 2 lbs. I started at 177 and this afternoon I am now at 179lbs. If I keep progressing at this rate, I should hit my goal of 192lbs.
Wish me luck and keep coming back to watch my progress.
