Without steroids, my goal is to safely grow 15lbs of muscle in 30 days. I will start this challenge on 1 MAR 2012.
Competitive bodybuilders may train up to a year growing the same amount of muscle. Some say what I'm about to attempt is impossible. I have designed a plan that might make it possible. On March 31st, we will have an answer.
I'm going to do nothing. Resting for the next 7 days until I start the challenge. I want to give my muscles ample time to heal from my current training plan. In the meantime I will be thinking about my diet plan.
A protein rich diet. My daily requirement will be 225g or more. That is 2.8g of protein per kg of my body weight. I'm not going to worry about calorie intake for the time being. I will adjust as I go along, but primarily I'm going to concentrate on eating protein.
My exercise routine will be minimalistic. I'm only going to exercise 3 times during the first week of the challenge. I plan to rest 2 days in between. I only plan to exercise 9 times during the entire 30 day challenge.
I have decided on only using 5 exercises and 2 different workouts. Workout 1 will consist of pull-downs, and military press. Workout 2 will consist of bench press, leg press, and an ab exercise.
I plan to do 1 set until failure with a 5 second count for both phases of the exercise.
